Elizabeth Lee is the author of An Experience Alongside Autism, a book for everyone else. Currently, she holds a dual Master’s in Education with a specialty in School Counseling M.Ed./Ed.S. She is a certified School Counselor in both Florida and North Carolina and a licensed School Counselor in the state of North Carolina.
The book is based on Elizabeth's experiences as the main caretaker of her son for the past 17 years who is on the autism spectrum and who has communication barriers. From her experiences with the general public and her training as a counselor, Elizabeth recognizes that there is still a lack of awareness concerning disability bias.
Elizabeth is passionately working towards increasing awareness of people's biases towards individuals with disabilities by providing opportunities for discussions and reflections on their experiences related to disability.
